Design of Experiments

Course Description

This course provides an introduction to the Design of Experiments (DoE), a structured method for determining the relationship between factors affecting a process and the output of that process.  Using the classical experimental approach participants will be guided from the strategy of experimentation through to the implementation of fractional factorial experiments.

  • Two-factor factorial design
  • The 2^k factorial design
  • Centre points, randomization and blocking in the 2^k design
  • Mixed level designs
• Two-level Fractional Factorial Design

Prerequisites

Some knowledge of inferential statistics, including confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and ANOVA is helpful.
